School Visits

I love talking to students about my process of making comics, developing characters, and visual storytelling in general. School and library visits can be with a single class or a larger assembly-size group. In my program, I'll discuss how I use research to add historical elements to my stories, and how I use visual elements to develop the characters and the settings, as well as build a plot.

If time and space allow, I can do a drawing workshop with the students where we work in groups to develop original characters and story ideas through the drawing process.
